21/10/2025 | Lisboa, Portugal – SISCOG, Sistemas Cognitivos, S.A., a software company specialised in solutions for optimised resource scheduling, management, and dispatching for passenger and freight transport operators, announces the appointment of Miguel Velosa Rodrigues as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Miguel brings over 20 years of experience in the mobility and transport technology sectors, having worked across areas such as project management, business development, and strategic leadership. His career has spanned rail, bus, road traffic, and aviation, with a strong emphasis on software-driven optimisation and digital transformation.
His professional path reflects a consistent engagement with complex mobility challenges and the application of advanced technologies to solve them, contributing to companies such as Tecmic, Siemens Mobility, Yunex Traffic, and Vanderlande Logistics. His experience includes projects involving real-time operation management, railway signalling and ticketing, and fuel consumption optimisation.
In recent years, Miguel’s career led him to head Siemens’ Intelligent Traffic Systems business unit, which later became Yunex Traffic. He most recently served as Head of Digital at Vanderlande Logistics – Siemens Logistics’ digital portfolio for Europe – where he directed initiatives to promote software and SaaS solutions for aviation, dealing with major European airports such as Paris Charles de Gaulle and London Heathrow.
Alongside his experience in areas relevant to SISCOG’s mission, Miguel also shares an academic connection with one of the company’s co-founders, having been educated by João Pavão Martins during his software engineering degree at Instituto Superior Técnico, including the “Artificial Intelligence” module.
