SISCOG has just obtained the certification of its Management System for the Conciliation between Professional, Family and Personal life, in accordance with the NP 4552:2016 standard.
This certification formalizes and grants a public seal to the company's existing practices aimed at increasing the levels of employees’ well-being, quality of life and satisfaction. An example of these practices is the recent adoption of a 100% flexible work policy in which employees are free to decide whether they prefer to work at home, at the office or a combination of both.
The Portuguese standard 4552:2016 was designed within the scope of the Technical Committee of Family Responsible Organizations of the Portuguese Association of Business Ethics. The main objectives of implementing a conciliation management system are, from the employees’ perspective, to increase their levels of well-being, quality of life, personal satisfaction and personal and professional development, and from the company's perspective, the contribution and involvement of employees with the organization and its objectives, productivity and the benefits that arise from promoting their personal development and consequent learning.
This recognition follows SISCOG's joining the Pact for Conciliation in 2019, the first measure taken by the Portuguese Government that committed a pioneer group of companies and public bodies to the implementation of this management system. In addition to this recent NP 4552 certification, SISCOG maintains an Integrated Management System that already includes the principles of Quality, of Research, Development and Innovation, of Environment and of Information Security management standards (ISO 9001, NP EN 4457, ISO 14001, and ISO 27001 respectively).
