Founded in 1973, the Orquestra Sinfónica Juvenil (OSJ) is recognised as a fundamental institution in the music and educational landscape. As the only youth orchestra in Portugal with permanent activity, it plays a crucial role in the training of young musicians, with a perspective on high-level refinement and professionalization.
In its 50 years of existence, OSJ has received and trained many of the current instrumentalists in national orchestras, encouraged and introduced many young soloists to the public, and extended its influence in support of musical culture throughout the country, contributing to the creation of new audiences.
The event is scheduled for December 2nd at Aula Magna in Lisbon.
Featuring a stellar lineup of musical talents, the Opera Gala concert will feature performances by:
Alexandra Bernardo | Soprano
Carlos Monteiro | Tenor
André Henriques | Baritone
Coro de Câmara da Universidade de Lisboa
Coro de Câmara do Instituto Gregoriano de Lisboa
Coral da Capo
The entire ensemble will be conducted by maestro Christopher Bochmann.
