This strategic step reinforces SISCOG’s operational excellence and mission of long-term growth and sustainability. By joining Modaxo, the Portuguese-headquartered company — with a long-standing international presence — becomes part of a multinational group and gains access to a broader network of expertise and resources, strengthening its ability to serve the demanding public transport sector with innovative and effective solutions.
Founded in 1986 by Professors João Pavão Martins and Ernesto Morgado, SISCOG has been a pioneer in applying artificial intelligence and operations research to transport planning, with a focus on optimization. The co-founders will continue to support the company as consultants during the transition period.
