SISCOG at full throttle at the beginning of the school year
Events at FCT NOVA, EXPONOR and presentation of a seminar at IST are some of the initiatives with which SISCOG will be busy in this new school year that is about to start.
At the Faculty of Sciences and Technology (FCT NOVA) we will be present in different moments. Next Monday, September 17th, SISCOG will be represented by a SISCOGuian and former Mathematics student in the reception of the new students from Mathematics degree.
International Job Fair

The main goal of our presentation is to trigger the curiosity of these students showing where and how Mathematics and its techniques can be applied to the work developed at SISCOG.
In this same institution, from October 10-12th, SISCOG will be present with a stand at Job Fest, an event that promotes direct contact between students and the job market.

Also in October, on the 15th, SISCOG will lecture a seminar at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), within the curricular unit of Intermediate Operations Research of the Master degree in Engineering and Industrial Management, whose main objective is to teach students how to model and solve optimisation problems in an industrial and service context.

Just three days later, on October 19th, SISCOG will lecture another seminar at Faculty of Sciences of the University of Lisbon (FCUL) for students from the Statistics and Operations Research Master degree within the “Operations Research Seminar” semester unit.

In both seminars, SISCOG will be represented by the Innovation Department’s responsible for the vehicle planning area, who will showcase how vehicle optimisation models are integrated into SISCOG’s FLEET product and used in practice.

And last but not least, we are very excited with the opportunity of exhibiting in the International Job Fair FINDE.U, from October 16 - 17th, in EXPONOR, Porto. This Job Fair, organised by University of Porto, along with the University of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro, the University of Vigo, and the Porto Regional Center of Universidade Católica Portuguesa, places the main Portuguese, Spanish and international employers in direct contact with more than 66,000 university students and close to 150,000 graduates /alumni of the four institutions. SISCOG won’t miss this great opportunity of helping these students/alumni to take the train to the labor market.
