Customer testimoniesThe following statements were made by SISCOG customers, in result of their experience with our CREWS Based system. NS (Dutch Railways) "First of all I would like to thank you for your efforts on the delivery
of the spring release. We are very content with the flexibility of CREWS regarding adapting
to the new rules. I think that this is a perfect example of the benefits of using rules to
customise the behaviour of an expert system." Erwin J. W. Abbink (NS-Verkeersleiding) June 2000 "Very good" - score given on the Global Evaluation of SISCOG's service "Support level. Always easy to contact" - Regarding the Strengths of SISCOG Rinus van Rijnsoever (Process Leader) Henk Nolens August 2002 NSB (Norwegian State Railways)"CREWS was used to create guards duties and rosters for all local trains
in Oslo and Trondheim. No other method was used. Thus, here the system was in full production.
Approximately 2.500 duties were created over a period of two weeks by one planner assisted by
Kjell Asgeir Moum from the TPO project. These duties were subsequently placed in rosters" Rolf Haugen (Project Manager TPO) July 2000 WAGN-West Anglia Great Northern Railway (a UK franchise passenger train operator)"With the assistance of CREWS we have been able to plan extra trains without
any increase in Driver establishment. Had we not increased the service frequency we would have been
able to achieve an annual saving of two Drivers (£60,000 per year). We have achieved a great improvement
in the accuracy of data and therefore the outputs. The project has given a far greater understanding of
the diagramming rules and therefore the possibilities for change that we may achieve in future discussions
with trade unions. It has enabled us to fully document all the rules and constraints previously stored
only in peoples memories and lost when they leave. CREWS is giving us better statistical information so
that we may answer questions like how productive are our drivers. I firmly believe that SISCOG have the
right approach to solving our planning problems with the correct balance of user decision and computer
programme assistance. The use of graphics helps the user see the bigger picture, which may otherwise be
missed when the information is presented as a text. We need to remind the senior management that the
place to invest is in planning so that we may achieve better performance throughout the company" Chris Deal (WAGN Project Manager) October, 2000 Statements from the 2002 Global Evaluation Survey: "CREWS_WAGN has certainly given us a deeper understanding of our planning process" "Response time is always good" "SISCOG's solutions continue to impress" "Quality of staff and products" "Always willing to assist" Chris Deal (Permanent Train Planning Manager, London Lines)August 2002 DSB S-tog (Copenhagen Suburban Trains, a Danish State Railways company)"DSB S-tog a/s entered into a contract with SISCOG in September 2001.
According to this contract, over a period of 3 years, SISCOG will
deliver a customized version of CREWS. The first 6 months of the
CREWS-project is performing in a very satisfactory way and the
implementation of the first modules is already completed. The users
have already been trained and are very approved of the system. Therefore S-tog is looking forward to have the benefit of using CREWS in planning duties." Steen Larsen PDS Project Manager - DSB S-tog April 2002 |
